Planning4Places, as a subconsultant to AECOM, is working with Greene County to develop their Multijurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). Our work involves assisting with public meeting development and facilitation, public outreach, development of Jurisdictional Annexes (the community profiles), and additional on-call plan development as needed.
The mitigation plan focuses on local policies and actions for reducing risk and future losses from natural hazards such as floods, severe storms, severe winter storms, earthquakes, and landslides. The plan will meet the federal planning requirements that require local governments to develop a hazard mitigation plan to be eligible for funding. For more information, please see the Greene County Emergency Services website.
